About this location: Mughsayl is located 40
kilometers west of Salalah. Mughsayl beach stretches for 4 kilometers and has a
light colored grain of sand and jagged cliffs and mountains. Blow holes
are in abundance and the water's force can create heights of up to 30 meters or
more. The largest blow holes are covered with metal grids for safety
reasons.
There is a new restaurant called Mughsayl Beach Tourist
Restaurant which is located by the beach just before the turnoff for the blow
holes. It offers an international menu and water sports throughout the
year.
Fishermen return to Mughsayl with their large catches of
sardines. The nearby Khor Mughsayl is home for an abundance of bird life,
including flamingos, pelicans and storks.
You
