By
the same great author who brought us "The Journey from Salalah to Bethlehem",
Anne Bouji presents us with yet another delightful book. Let’s
meet the camels that are going to tell us about Oman and show us the wonderful
things to see in Muscat.
“Marhaba,
my name is Mustafa and I live in Salalah, the capital of DHOFAR region in the
south of the country. Marhaba is
Arabic for ‘Hello’. In Salalah
we have many beautiful green mountains, waterfalls and historic places of
interest. This is my first visit to Muscat, so my friend Talal is going to show
me all of the places of interest.”
“Marhaba,
my name is Talal and I come from Muscat, the capital city of the Sultanate of
Oman. Muscat is in the north of the country and is more than 1000 kms. away from
Salalah. In Muscat, which is a
region as well as a city, the mountains are spectacular, but they are just bare
rock, and most of the time the river beds, called Wadis, are dry as there is not
very much rain. There are many wonderful places to visit, historic forts and
castles and lots of new and exciting developments that have been introduced.
I
am looking forward to being able to tell you about them as I show all of these
things to my friend Mustafa who has come to Muscat for the first time.”
